The Bike Ramble & ActionAid

The Bike Ramble is not all about the thrills of adventure and fulfilling personal dreams. I’ve headed out to see the world as it is – but also to take part in making it become better. Together with the ride comes an ActionAid fundraiser, with the purpose of raising money and awareness towards something that truly matters.

ActionAid is an international organisation, working for a world free from poverty and human injustice. They’re working to help people in poverty. People who face discrimination. People whose voices are ignored. They help people fight for the rights that they are denied. Simple things, like the right to eat. The right to stay on their land. To an education. To have a say in the decisions that shape their lives.

ActionAid puts women and women’s rights at the centre of all their work simply because inequality is an injustice that must be fought. They work with women across the world to identify the changes needed and to empower them to claim their rights. They also defend the rights of women and girls to live free from gender-based violence, to control their own bodies and sexuality, and to secure a fairer division of care work.

Please join me in making the Bike Ramble really count, here’s how.
